- Assess & plan. We look at what needs welding or making, work out the right material and technique, and quote it straight.
- Cut & clean. Rot or damage cut back to bright, solid metal, because a weld is only as good as what it is welded to.
- Fabricate & form. Repair sections or one-off parts cut and formed to fit, whether from a panel or made from scratch.
- Weld properly. Welded with full penetration and the right technique, then dressed back so the repair is strong and tidy.
- Protect & finish. Primed, sealed and protected, and finished so a bodywork repair disappears under paint.
Welding & Fabrication FAQs
Can you weld my exhaust instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. A blowing joint or a rotted section can frequently be repaired by welding in new pipe or a section, which is cheaper than a whole system. If it is too far gone we will tell you honestly.
Is welded repair strong enough for structural work?
When it is done properly, yes, welding is exactly how structural repairs are meant to be done. Clean metal, full penetration and the right technique make a repair as strong as or stronger than the original.
Can you make a part that is no longer available?
That is what fabrication is for. We cut and form repair panels, sections and one-off parts by hand for classics and customs where the original parts have long since dried up.
Do you do custom brackets and mounts for builds?
Yes. Engine mounts, brackets, tabs and one-off parts for conversions, restomods and custom builds are everyday work. Bring us the problem and we will fabricate the solution.
Will a welded repair rust again?
Not if it is done and protected properly. We cut back to clean metal, weld correctly, then seal and protect the repair with primer and cavity protection so it stays solid for years.
