These terms and conditions set out the basis on which Mad Dogg Kustoms (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides vehicle servicing, repair, restoration, customisation, detailing and related services to you, the customer. By booking or authorising work with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Quotes and estimates

Any quote or estimate we give is based on the information available at the time and is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. An estimate is a considered guide to likely cost, not a fixed price. If, once work begins, we find additional work is required or the scope changes, we will contact you for authorisation before proceeding. Prices are inclusive or exclusive of VAT as indicated on the relevant document.

2. Bookings and deposits

We may require a deposit to secure a booking or to order parts, particularly for restoration, customisation and larger jobs. Deposits for parts specially ordered for your vehicle may be non-refundable where those parts cannot be returned to the supplier. We will make any such condition clear at the time of booking.

3. Authorisation of work

We will only carry out work you have authorised. Authorisation may be given in writing, by email, by text or verbally. Where we cannot reach you to authorise additional necessary work, we may pause the job until we have your instruction. You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorised by the owner to instruct work on it.

4. Parts, materials and workmanship

We source parts of a suitable quality for the work in hand and will use new, reconditioned or used parts as agreed. Parts carry the warranty offered by their manufacturer or supplier. Our workmanship is guaranteed against faulty work for a reasonable period from completion, subject to fair use. This guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, or damage caused by misuse, accident, or further work carried out elsewhere.

5. MOT preparation

Please note that Mad Dogg Kustoms carries out MOT preparation and repair work to help your vehicle meet the required standard. We are not an MOT testing station, and the carrying out of preparation or repair work does not guarantee an MOT pass, which is determined solely by an authorised MOT test centre.

6. Collection, delivery and storage

You agree to collect your vehicle promptly once we notify you that work is complete and any invoice has been paid. Vehicles left with us are stored at the owner’s risk. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable daily storage fee for vehicles not collected within 7 days of notification of completion.

7. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work and before collection of the vehicle unless we have agreed credit terms in writing. We accept the payment methods displayed at our premises. We reserve the right to retain the vehicle until payment has been received in full (a lien), and to recover reasonable costs of pursuing unpaid invoices.

8. Liability

We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any matter which it would be unlawful to limit. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of use of the vehicle, loss of earnings, or any indirect or consequential loss. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.

9. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel a booking, please give us as much notice as possible. Where we have already incurred cost on your behalf (for example ordering parts), those costs may be payable. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. Complaints

We aim to get every job right. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, please contact us as soon as possible on 01724 304245 or in writing, and we will do our best to put it right.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
