grip where it counts
Off-Road Wheels & Tyres
Off-road wheels and tyres in Scunthorpe. All-terrain and mud-terrain tyres supplied, fitted and balanced on the right wheels for real grip, by the MDK crew.
The Right Off-Road Tyres For How You Drive
Tyres are the only thing connecting your 4×4 to the ground, so they make or break how it performs off-road. Too aggressive and your daily commute roars and wears out fast; too road-biased and you are sliding around the first muddy field. At Mad Dogg Kustoms we match off-road tyres and wheels to the real balance of road and rough you drive, then fit and set them up properly.
We supply and fit all-terrain and mud-terrain tyres on steel or alloy wheels, with the right offset and load rating for your vehicle and any lift. Fitting, balancing and pressures are all sorted, and we will talk honestly about the trade-offs so you get grip where you need it without ruining the drive home.

All-Terrain & Mud Tyres
All-terrain for a road-and-rough mix or aggressive mud-terrain for serious trails, matched to how you actually drive.

Wheels & Fitment

Setup & Balance
Fitting, balancing and pressures dialled for on and off-road, so the truck grips off-road and stays civilised on tarmac.
from bald to bitey
How Your Setup Comes Together
- Road vs rough. Honest chat about how much tarmac versus trail you really do, because that ratio decides the tyre, not the meanest tread pattern.
- Match wheel & tyre. Tyre type, size, wheel offset and load rating worked out for your vehicle and any lift, so it all fits and clears cleanly.
- Fit & balance. Mounted and balanced properly, with any clearance or arch work sorted so nothing rubs on lock or over bumps.
- Pressures & geometry. Pressures set for the load and use, and alignment checked, so the tyres wear evenly and steer true.
- Road test & hand over. Driven and re-checked, then handed back with pressure advice for road, trail and airing back up after.
Wheels & Tyres FAQs
All-terrain or mud-terrain tyres, which do I need?
If most of your miles are on road with occasional trails, all-terrains grip well without the noise and rapid wear. If you spend serious time in deep mud and ruts, mud-terrains earn their keep. Tell us your split and we will steer you right.
Can I fit bigger tyres without a lift?
Sometimes a modest size up fits with minor arch work, but bigger tyres usually want a lift and correct offset to clear without rubbing. We work the tyre, wheel and any lift out together so it fits properly.
Will chunky tyres ruin my fuel economy and refinement?
More aggressive tyres do add noise and cost some economy, which is exactly why tyre choice should match your real use. Pick the right level of aggression and the trade-off is small; go too far for the sake of looks and you feel it every day.
Do off-road tyres need different pressures?
Yes. Lower pressures off-road increase the contact patch for grip, while road pressures protect the tyre and economy on tarmac. We set your road pressures and advise on airing down and back up for off-road use.
Steel or alloy wheels for off-road?
Steels are cheap, tough and easy to hammer back into shape on the trail, which suits hard use. Alloys are lighter and look sharper for a road-biased build. We will match the wheel to your use and budget.
