At Mad Dogg Kustoms we handle the whole job in-house: sourcing alloy wheels that suit the car, refurbishing tired rims back to better than new, and fitting coilovers, lowering springs or full air suspension with a proper geometry setup afterwards.

That last part matters. Slamming a car and skipping the alignment is how you ruin tyres and nerves. Every suspension job here ends with corner weights and geometry set for how the car is actually used, so it looks hard parked and still drives beautifully.

How Your Setup Comes Together

  1. Fitment plan. Wheel size, offset, tyre profile and target height worked out for your exact car, so nothing rubs and nothing gets returned.
  2. Source & prep. Wheels ordered or your rims refurbished in-house while the suspension parts land. One timeline, no waiting twice.
  3. The fit. Suspension in, wheels on, torqued and checked. Air ride installs include tank, management and lines plumbed in clean and hidden.
  4. Geometry & corner weights. Camber, toe and ride height set for your use, from show stance to fast road. This is the step everyone else skips.
  5. Shakedown & handover. Road test, re-torque and final once-over, then a walkaround so you know exactly what was set and why.

How much does alloy wheel refurbishment cost?

Alloy wheel refurbishment cost depends on the size of the wheel, the damage and the finish you want. A standard powder coat refurb on four wheels costs far less than diamond cutting or a custom two-tone finish. Send us photos of the wheels and we will quote them straight.

Coilovers or lowering springs, which should I choose?

Lowering springs are the budget-friendly drop, keeping your standard dampers, and suit a mild ride height change. Coilovers cost more but give adjustable height and damping and transform how the car handles. If you want it properly low or properly planted, coilovers win.

Is air ride suspension practical for a daily driver?

Modern air suspension is very usable day to day. Lift it for speed bumps and driveways, drop it when parked. It needs a boot corner for the tank and management, and we plumb everything in neatly so it looks factory-fitted.

Will lowering my car cause MOT or insurance problems?

A sensibly set-up lowered car passes the MOT fine, provided nothing fouls and the headlights are aimed correctly, which is part of our setup. Like any modification, tell your insurer about wheels and suspension changes.

Can you fix kerbed or cracked alloys?

Kerbing, corrosion and most cosmetic damage we repair and refinish in-house. Cracks and buckles are assessed case by case, because your wheels are a safety part and we will not refinish a wheel that is not structurally right.
