It depends on the donor and how far you take it. A tidy style conversion is accessible money, a full fabrication and paint job is more. We assess the bike, agree the spec and stage the build so the cost is clear and manageable.
What is the best donor bike for a build?
It depends on the style and budget, but simple, robust bikes with good aftermarket support make the best bobbers and cafe racers. Bring us your idea and we will suggest donors that suit the look and will not fight you all the way.
Will the converted bike still be reliable and legal?
Yes. We build conversions to ride, keeping the mechanicals sorted and the lighting, controls and standards road legal. A gorgeous bike that will not pass muster or start on a cold morning is not the goal.
Can you convert a bike I already own?
Definitely, and it keeps the bike you already love. We assess it, keep the good bits and build the style around it, rather than you buying and selling to start again.
